the weekend – July 28 to July 30.
Sunblest and Windermere – Bottle Bombs (see full release below)

Windermere – Attempted Residential Entry
On July 30th at 3:05 am, police officers were called to the 10400
block of Greenway Drive. The homeowner advised that his 25 year
old daughter was sleeping on the couch when she heard the sliding
glass door open. She turned on a light only to see the silhouette of a
man running away. A police K-9 track led towards Parkway Drive then
to a tree line before losing the scent. No suspect was located.
Sunblest – Burglary
Police are investigating a burglary report at 7886 Tufton Court. The
homeowners returned from a vacation (July 21 to July 30) and
discovered that someone forced entry into the home. Several items
were missing from the home and it appeared that the suspects stayed
at the residence during the week. The family does have suspects and
the police are investigating.
Sunblest Farms – Thefts from vehicles
Several residents reported items missing from their vehicles, including
car stereos, CDs, cell phones and a satellite radio. Please remember
to lock your doors and report any suspicious activity.

BOTTLE BOMBS DISCOVERED
July 30, 2006
The Fishers Police Department is investigating three bottle bombs
that were located by homeowners this morning. Officers were called to
a suspicious bottle at approximately 9:30 am this morning at 416
Sunblest Boulevard South (Near 116th and Allisonville Road). When
officers arrived they found a second bottle that exploded in a mailbox
at 414 Sunblest Boulevard South. Officers were later called to third
report of a bottle bomb that exploded in a mailbox at 11125
Windermere Boulevard (Near 96th and Mollenkopf Road).
The resident at 416 Sunblest Boulevard South reported that she went
out to get the newspaper at approximately 7:30 am this morning. She
observed a clear plastic bottle that she believed was trash. She later
felt that the bottle was suspicious and called police. Officers observed
the clear bottle containing aluminum foil and an unknown liquid. This
bottle had not exploded. The reporting officer located a second bottle
bomb at 414 Sunblest Boulevard South and notified the homeowner.
The second bottle exploded and caused minor damage to the mailbox
and a chemical burn in the grass around the mailbox.
The homeowner at 11125 Windermere Boulevard called police when
they discovered a clear plastic bottle that exploded in their mailbox
causing minor damage to the mailbox. The homeowner told officers
that they heard a noise at approximately 1:30 am this morning but did
not investigate at that time.
Anyone with information about these bottle bombs is asked to call the
Fishers Police Department.
